Day 17

Today I helped to make breakfast for my family again. My mum told me what we were having for breakfast but then she said she was busy and couldn't make breakfast in time. So I volunteered to help her make breakfast. I heated everything, put it in the microwave, all of it. I got it all ready in 15 minutes by the time she returned. I had even set the table and distributed all the food and drinks to everyone. I made sure that I hadn't done everything wrong like put metal in a microwave or any other nonsense. I made sure it was what she wanted and that everyone would be happy. When she returned she was surprised that everything was in place and everything was set to have breakfast. She checked everything and was surprised at the job I had done for her. When everyone else came to breakfast they asked my mum about it and said it was delicious. But my mum said it was me who prepared and organised the breakfast. I made the breakfast. When they heard this they were all shocked and astonished. They thought it was my mum who had prepared breakfast. I also helped my sister when she called for help. I said I'll help you when she needed help with a job. I quickly gave her attention and ran to her and assisted her with a task that she did not know how to do. I asked her what she wanted and then I taught her how to do it so that she would know how to do it in the future.

Today I contributed to the whole family and I thought it was a good way to end this task with a costing and brilliant deed. I was glad once again and thought I had shocked everyone and I felt that this was a good deed that I could do to make life easier for others and let them have less stress and not have such a tight schedule. My sister said thank you which was another nice comment. I said your welcome and I thought that I had done two good deeds today.

I felt extra glad after my parents and sibblings encouraged me and commended me for all the work I had done. They said it was an excellent job. My sister said that I saved her time trying to figure out how to do the problem and solve it. I also felt good for all the deeds that I had done and that they really had a meaning and helped someone. It was something that I wouldn't normally do everyday that breakfast good deed.

I felt proud of myself that I had done this task and completed it well. I have no queries or worries during this task and I will still continue to help the community and carry on doing good deeds for others.

Day 16

Today I helped Taeil at the ICT centre today. He stuck because there was no student disk on the desktop. He opened the HD but still there was no student disk. He didn't know what to do so I helped him. He needed the student disk to open his aircraft photo. I helped him to connect to the student disk and then helped him to find the file containing all the photo and then I helped him search for his one. I followed through the procedure until I helped him upload his photo on his page. After all this he was grateful and said thank you.

I felt glad and I said this is my good deed today.

I also helped my parents to load the dishwasher. They were surprised to see me helping and I said today I will help to load all the dishes. I loaded and rinsed all the dishes with my parents. They said that I was always helping and that I was helping them and could take a rest from their busy day. They said that I was relieving them and allowing them to rest as they had a stressful and tiring day.

I felt good and that I had done another good deed because I felt that I wanted to finish off this task with a strong and generous effort so I felt that one deed was not enough so I did a second good deed.

Day 15

Today I helped my little brother in his Kung-fu training. When he was practicing he was doing some incorrect moves and had some mistakes so I helped him correct those mistakes. It was late so I helped him when I usually just leave him to do it by himself but today dad was busy so he couldn't supervise him so he asked me and I volunteered to watch him. I took this opportunity to make an effort by helping him since today I was supervising him and my dad depended on me. I also helped my sister as well when she was practicing. I helped her by giving her a "hand". I made sure she was doing it right and helped her correct her mistakes just as I did for my little brother. I also was in charge of her and supervised her so I watched both of them and made sure they were happy and did it correctly.

My brother said that "I was being a good teacher and he said thank you for helping me". He also said, "thank you for helping me because you don't usually help me, only today. I really appreciated your effort and now I feel like I am better at Kung-fu and can show dad tomorrow what you have thought me". My sister said something similar but she said that now she had learnt something new and can now proceed again. She said you don't usually do that so thank you."

I felt really glad and I made a difference. Especially after those comments. I have never had such comments from my brother and sister since the start of the 17 Day difference. I made a big effort since it is coming close to 17 days.

It was good that I did something good for the community by staring with the family. My brother, sister, dad and especially mum were delighted and said that the breakfast tasted good. My sister was very happy and said that she wanted me to do that more often.

17 Days To Make A Difference

Day 1

Today I taught my sister how to do a difficult move in martial arts. Today was exceptional, I usually don't teach many things.

She was very grateful and happy to learn something new. I felt good and happy for her that I did a good deed that helps someone else. It's Day 1, so I have a lot more to go.
